We sheltered in place and have weathered the storm at our community. Everyone is safe and doing well. Our first priority is always the safety and well-being of our team members and residents. Thank you to all of the team members who stayed throughout the storm to continue to serve the residents.
Our residents and team members are continuing to shelter in place through Hurricane Debby. Everyone is doing well. While our community is currently without electricity, along with approximately 7,500 customer in Tallahassee, we have been informed that City Electric is at work restoring power as quickly as possible. In the meantime we will continue to use backup generators to provide for safety of our community. We will provide additional updates as they may become available.
At this time, we are continuing to shelter in place through Hurricane Debby. Everyone is doing well. We are prepared for the possibility of power outages as Debby moves through our area. We ask residents to please continue to stay indoors if possible. Thanks to all team members who stayed last night to make sure residents’ needs are met. We will continue to update as information may become available.
Westminster Oaks team members are actively preparing for the arrival of Tropical Storm Debby beginning this evening. Our community is not in an evacuation or flood zone. We are prepared to shelter in place during the storm with additional supplies, including food, water and fuel, and activating team members to serve residents throughout. We continue to follow the recommendations of the National Hurricane Center and National Weather Service and will provide any additional information as it becomes available.
We continue to monitor the development of Tropical Storm Debby and are actively following the guidance of the National Hurricane Center and National Weather Service. At this time, it is unclear what the impacts of the storm will be, or whether our community will be impacted.
Please know that we are taking all necessary precautions to ensure safety. Our team members are working hard and following their emergency preparedness plans. We will continue to provide further updates as our the storm’s track and potential impacts become clearer.
